Joel Felipe Ferreira Gomes

Bachelor in Computer Science and in Information Technology by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Technological Residency in Artificial Intelligence with emphasis in Speech Recognition by the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas). Technical formation in Informatics by the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN). Worked as an intern in software development of a API for the UFRN's IT Department (SINFO-UFRN); then worked as a member of Smart Metropolis in Digital Metropolis Insitute (IMD). Also worked in research and development in UFRN, being data scientist in project: Plataform for data exploration in research activities; and researching the automation of Hilbert Calculi extraction for each classical logic fragment. Today, works mainly as a System Analyst at the CPQD Foundation - Research and Development Center in Telecommunications (CPQD). I have interests in the fields of Artificial Inteligence, Machine Learning, Software Development, Data Science and Theoretical Computer Science with focus in Logic.

Interests

Besides being a researcher/data-scientist/back-end developer, I enjoy most of my time playing sports, mainly (the real) football and basketball, or watching/studying as many sports as possible (concentrating in football - mainly brazilian and english - but often NFL and NBA, and not so often the others).

When forced not to watch, I play some storytelling game to relax my mind (or to stress it out even more), and I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest advancements in the science - logic/math/computer science - world.
